The Ocean,
Here I am,
Admiring the breathtaking view of the blue sky smiling at me,
Searching for contentment in the crystal-clear water,
Seeking solace in the smell of the warm sea breeze,
Finding peace in the sound of rolling and crashing waves,
Looking at the sea horizon while repeating the mantra,
“Don’t look down,” I tell myself,
“Don’t look down,” I whispered,
“Don’t look down,” reminding myself,
Or else I’ll fall into despair,
Seeing the calm sea looking like a global rubbish bin,
Or else I’ll feel devastated,
Realizing how we humans are slowly destroying our only earth,
As if we have another one,
Or do we think so?
